Most residential units have dedicated parking units, but visitors or guests may find access to public parking spaces limited. In major DIFC garages, parking fees can go up to AED 25 per hour.
Public Transportation in DIFC
DIFC has convenient access to public transport facilities offering seamless connectivity to other parts of the city. The Emirates Towers and the Financial Centre are two metro stations that are located just a short walk away from most project areas in DIFC.
There are also many bus lines serving the DIFC community. Commuters wanting to get to DIFC can also book a taxi. However, during rush hours, it can be difficult to get one.

Inside the Architecture of DIFC
The master plan for DIFC was designed by Gensler. HOK was appointed in 2004 to develop the master plan further, including landscaping and public realm design.
ACDF Architects designed some of the signature towers in DIFC, with the primary vision of creating a development that will be a natural extension of the site. It is built to deliver the impression that the building takes root from the natural components instead of being an imposing object on the property area.
The DIFC complex consists of two towers connected by an elevated horizontal platform. The main tower is built to emerge from the ground, while the second tower sits atop the platform. The underside of the platform is designed with ample circulation space, so the site is easily accessible from all sides. The upper surface of the platform gives a continuation of the main street, featuring a mix of cafes, restaurants, and a green, refreshing environment.
The underside of the towers are lit through a perforated, angled pre-cast concrete panel and a reflective pool. With this careful integration, ACDF architects have created a functional complex that not only includes the two towers but also mindfully considers the space in between.

The facade of the main tower is clad in a triangulated reflective skin, also inspired by Islamic geometry, with three glass panels featuring different properties. This inclusion provides texture to the structure while emphasising the structure’s sculptural nature.
Shaded by serigraph, the top panel is designed to reduce solar glare and minimise heat gain. The side photovoltaic panels absorb solar energy, helping to provide power to most of the public areas in the complex. The bottom clear glazed glass panels provide clear views.
The surface layer of the small tower is laid flat, representing a strong and distinguishing contrast that creates an interesting design statement between a polished and textured triangulated glazed facade.
There is torsion in the main tower of the DIFC complex, creating pockets in the structure for varying programs. These designated zones reveal the sculptural qualities to the viewer and visitors. They create a scenic moment within the building, expressing the design sophistication in terms of colour, light, mystery, and the diversity of materials.
